Our narrowboat starts to become reality

NB Seaglass hull
Mid May 2018 and our first visit to see our narrowboat hull under construction at XR&D Boat Builders, Ollerton.  We've decided on a length of 65 ft and a semi-cruiser stern - part cruiser, part semi-trad - giving the best of both worlds.
Inside NB Seaglass's hull
The beauty of having a bespoke narrowboat built is that you can specify whatever you want (within reason!) So we are having things like a windlass holder, special vents in the hull for the composting toilet, our own design of semi-cruiser stern, barn doors to front and rear doors (to keep the dog in) D-rings on the stern to clip the dog to and several other features.

Lee and Garry of XR&D
Lee & Garry of XR&D are happy for customers to visit their workshops at any time (with a bit of notice so they can get the kettle on) and give you as much time as you need to discuss your requirements. The hull is due to be finished mid June 2018, when it will be craned onto a lorry and transported to Narrowboats of Distinction's yard in near Newark
