Midsummer Sunset at Trent Lock June 2019

You get to see some absolutely stunning sunsets from the back, the front, the side of a narrowboat and also othe towpath.  Often they can last up to half an hour, starting with the palest pink and transitioning through dark oranges and burgundies. I have never seen sunsets like I've seen from the boat

We were on the Visitor Moorings at Trent Lock on Midsummers Eve, June 2019,  Armed with a gin and tonic from The Trent Lock Inn, we sat and watched nature put on this show for us.

I'm going to let the photographs speak for themselves.

The picture above was taken around 11.15 pm on midsummer's eve. There wasn't a breath of air and the River Trent is like a mirror, with stunning reflections.  Memories of this evening will stay with us for a very long time
