Upcycled / Recycled / Repurposed Narrowboat Life Ring

Above is a vintage life ring rescued by my Master Mariner brother at least 30 years ago. It's been in his loft gathering dust and awaiting it's chance to shine.  

We needed a life ring for the boat, but the standard issue bright orange would so clash with the mint green and pink !!

Our boat colour is based on Fiat Mint Green and my amazing brother sourced the exact colour match to our boat plus white as a contrast. He cleaned it, sprayed it, resprayed it and resprayed again. Apparantly it kept absorbing the paint. He removed the original rope, sourced new rope to match the colour of the boat and created this beauty!

We can safely say there is definitely not another life ring like this on the UK canal network!
